ADHD WA Welcomes $1.2 Million Funding Pledge from Cook Labor Government

ADHD WA welcomes the WA Labor pledge of $1.2 million to ADHD WA for vital support, information, and wraparound services.

“For over 30 years, ADHD WA has been dedicated to supporting individuals with ADHD and their families,” said Dr Michele Toner OAM, ADHD WA Chairperson. “We appreciate the government’s recognition of the challenges our community faces and their commitment to providing necessary financial support to ensure more individuals and families can access crucial services.”

ADHD WA offers evidence-based, research-informed services delivered by a highly skilled team. This funding will enable the organisation to provide ongoing services to more adults, children, adolescents and their parents and carers.

“Our team is ready to deliver on this commitment,” stated Mr Bruce MacAdam, CEO of ADHD WA. “With this financial support, we can enhance our services to ensure individuals with ADHD, along with their loved ones, receive the comprehensive care they deserve.”

ADHD is the most common neurodevelopmental disorder with negative outcomes if not treated adequately. Accessible wraparound services are proven to improve mental health outcomes and wellbeing, with accessible services crucial to a thriving ADHD community.

ADHD WA is committed to its mission of supporting the ADHD community through advocacy, education, and evidence-based service. ADHD WA looks forward to partnering with the Government to deliver vital, effective and well managed services for individuals and families impacted by ADHD in our community.
